We are a conservative, evangelical, Baptist Church
    
     We are conservative because we accept the inspried teachings of God's Word. This is called a high view of Scripture. We seek to interpret Scripture in a way that is consistent with itself. We believe the Holy Spirit guided the writers in such a way that while it is still their writings influenced by their personalities, it is also the thruth of God.
     We are evangelical because we have good news to share about the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all sinners. Sin is defined by the Word of God, not by human opinion. (Rom. 1: 18-32) Since we have all sinned, we believe we all need a Savior. Jesus died on the cross to be that Savior. Whoever will confess their sins to Him and trust in Him can be saved. (John 3:16, Rom. 5: 6-11) It is the calling and mission of the church to share this good news with our community and our world.
     We are Baptist, believing that a person who accepts Christ should publically profess their faith in Christ through baptism by immersion at an age when they are able to have a true understanding.
     As Baptist, we also have a congregational form of government that allows us to control and determine what we believe and how our church functions reflecting those beliefs.

Prayer:
      We believe in the power of prayer. Prayer is the means  by which we seek the help of the Lord.

Matthew 7: 7-8  

 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and

you will find; knock and the door will be opened

to you. For everyone who asks receives; the

one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks,

the door will be opened."
 

Bible:

     We believe the Bible is God's word.     

2 Timothy 3: 16-17

          "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful 

for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training

 in righteousness, so that the servant of God may

be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Holy Spirit:

     We desire to be led by the Holy Spirit.    

John 14: 26 

"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the

Father will send in my name, will teach you

all things and will remind you of everything

 I have said to you."

Love:

     We seek to be a loving church that cares for each other in a friendly, caring way.    

 John 13: 34-35   

 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one

another. By this everyone will know that

you are my disciples, if you love one another."
 

The Great Commission:

     We spiritually and financially believe in supporting local and international mission groups and missionaries as they spread the Gospel .  

Matthew 28: 19-20   

 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
